Studying asks a lot of the things ADHD and dyslexia can make harder: planning ahead, starting, keeping track of deadlines and reading a lot of text. KanBananza won't do the revision for you, and it isn't a treatment. It gives you a calm board where every subject, topic and deadline is broken into small steps, with nothing else competing for your attention.
A board for every stage
Pick a ready-made board and the columns and first steps are already there. All of them are free.
- School and college: GCSE revision, A-level revision, a weekly revision plan, a homework tracker and a UCAS application board.
- University: starting uni, uni term, assignments and coursework, exam season, exam revision, essay or dissertation, dissertation chapter by chapter, group project, placement or internship hunt, student money and house, and thesis or research project. More in the uni planner guide.
Revision, little and often
- Topic by topic. Each subject is a card with its topics as steps. Tap the ✓ count to see what's left and tick them off right on the board.
- Know where you stand. Move a card to Needs another go or Confident, so you can see at a glance what to come back to.
- Short sessions. Every card has a focus timer with breaks. Show it as a shrinking disc to see time running down without reading numbers.
- A week at a glance. The weekly revision plan has a column for each day, so a session is just a card to drag to Done.
When you can't decide where to start
Pick one for me suggests a single card and says why: it's due soon, you've already started it, or there's one step left. With Full Bananza, tag cards by energy and ask for something easy on a tired day. Just this card then fills the screen with that one card and its timer.
Easier to read
The OpenDyslexic font, wider letter and line spacing, bigger text, high contrast and colour overlays that tint the page like a reading overlay. Every accessibility option is free. See the dyslexia-friendly planner guide for more.
Deadlines that don't sneak up
- Due dates on any card, with Up next showing what's due in the next few days.
- Quick add in plain English: type "History essay Friday" and the due date is set for you.
- Snooze a card until the week you'll actually do it, so today's board stays calm.
- Done today (Full Bananza) ends the day with what you finished, not what's left.
Support you might be able to get
A planner helps, but it's worth asking about support too:
- At school or college, ask your SENCo or learning support team about access arrangements for exams, such as extra time or a reader.
- At university in the UK, Disabled Students' Allowance (DSA) can help pay for study support and equipment if you're dyslexic or have ADHD. Your university's disability service can help you apply.
The Starting uni and A-level revision boards include these as cards, so they don't get forgotten.
Private, with no account
Your boards stay in your browser on your computer. There's no sign-up, nothing to share with a school or app, and no tracking. On a school or college computer, you may need IT to allow browser extensions.
KanBananza is free for Chrome, Edge and Firefox. No account, no tracking, and every accessibility option included.
