From sixth form to first year

Starting university? Your assignments are about to change.

Longer briefs, fewer reminders, stricter referencing and new rules about AI, all in the same term. Here’s what changes, and a board that’s ready for it.

Before your first deadline

  • Find out which referencing style each module uses.
  • Put every assignment deadline on one board.
  • Read the marking criteria for your first essay.
  • Check your university’s rules on AI, and what to declare.
  • Book a slot with the library or study skills team.

The First term board

The First term board: a column for each module with dated cards, a Reading column, and the Assignments stack with two assignments and their due dates.
