What are you planning?

One board for each thing you’re planning

Ready-made boards for each, or start blank. See all of them together, as swimlanes, a list or a calendar.

  • Up next

What’s due soon, what you’re waiting on, and the few cards you picked for today.

  • Quick add

Type “Call Sam tomorrow 3pm #home” and the date, board and label fill in.

  • Focus timer

Start it on a card and the time is logged to that card.

  • Every board at once

Merged, as swimlanes, as a list or on a calendar.

For students

Planning an assignment? Take it from the brief to handing it in.

For GCSE coursework, the EPQ, essays and dissertations. Start by marking up your brief. It works in your browser, with no install.

The brief marker with an essay brief marked up: the command words, the topic, four limits, three criteria and two things to include, each in its own colour, with what Critically evaluate means and the list of key words beside it.
Step 1, live on the brief marker: mark the command words, topic, limits, what it’s marked on and what it must include. Free, in your browser.

Pip

Tell Pip what you’re planning. Get cards back.

Exams, a job hunt, a move or an essay: Pip turns it into cards with dates, breaks big tasks into small ones and picks one for you when you’re stuck. For assignments, it plans back from the deadline and never writes the work for you.

Free for a week. Then from £3.99 a month, with Full Bananza included, £69 once for 3 years, or £10 for a deadline week.

It lives on your board

Every assignment sits in the Assignments stack, sorted by due date. Open one and its steps light up on the board. A Today plan of a few cards and a focus timer keep each day small.

KanBananza + Peel

Sources as you go, linked to your plan

Save sources in Peel while you read. Link the Peel project to your board, and they show up where you plan, checked against the brief. Then put each one on the card it belongs to.

  1. Save it in Peel

One click on the page, or a quote from a PDF, with its page number.

Peel’s library: an essay project with its sources and a Harvard reference ready to copy.
  2. It shows on your board

The board’s Sources stack fills with the Peel project’s sources, and flags a gap, like a missing date.

The Sources stack beside a board, with six Harvard references and one missing date flagged.
  3. Put it on the card

Drag a source onto the card it’s for, or press From Sources. Add the page, and the citation and reference list are ready to copy.

A card’s Sources used: three sources with page numbers and citations, and the reference list in Harvard.

From school to university

The same seven steps, as the briefs get longer and the referencing stricter.

  1. GCSE

    Coursework

Your teacher’s brief and the exam board’s specification, as a board you can follow.

  2. A level and EPQ

    Longer projects

NEA and the EPQ production log fit on one board, a card per stage.

  3. First year

    Your first university brief

Longer reading lists, stricter referencing and every deadline on one term board.

  4. Final year

    Dissertation

A board of its own, a card per chapter, supervisor meetings with dates.

FAQ

Good questions.

Anything else? Email [email protected] and a real person will reply.

Is KanBananza free for students?

Yes. Boards, the ready-made study boards, due dates, checklists, the focus timer, the brief marker, the Assignments stack, the Sources stack and Harvard references are free. Full Bananza (from £9 a year) adds every referencing style, sources on each card and the Research library. Pip, the AI helper, has a free week, then comes with a Pip plan from £3.99 a month, which includes Full Bananza. See pricing.

Will Pip write my assignment?

No. Pip plans: it turns a brief into dated steps, breaks big tasks down, explains a command word for your subject and tidies a source’s details. It never writes or rewrites your work, never makes up sources, and shows every change before it’s made. Follow your school’s or university’s rules on AI: planning help is usually fine, but check your course handbook.

Where is my data stored?

In your browser’s storage on this computer, or the app’s own folder. There is no account. If you turn on sync, an encrypted copy also goes to a hidden folder in your own Google Drive. We never see it either way. See what leaves your device.

What does Pip send, and is it kept?

Nothing is sent unless you press one of Pip’s buttons. Then only what that job needs, like the brief or the card you chose, goes to KanBananza’s AI server. We keep no copy and no logs of it, and it isn’t used to train AI. See Meet Pip.

Is it good for ADHD or dyslexia?

It’s designed for neurocomplex brains, ADHD and dyslexia included: a dyslexia font and spacing, bigger text, a calm Today plan, a focus timer and a one-key blur for a clear screen. Everyone’s different, so every option can be switched on or off, and all of them are free. See every brain.

Which devices does it work on?

Any current browser, including Safari, at app.kanbananza.com, and the Mac and Windows app. The browser extension for Chrome and Edge is still there too, though the store copy updates more slowly. See where to get it.

I’m a teacher or SENCO. What is there for my students?

Free lessons, posters and printables on planning assignments and referencing, each in a dyslexia-friendly version, on the educators page. Students need no account, and we hold no data about them. Class and school licences for Pip are coming; leave an email there to hear first.

Does it sync between computers?

Yes, with Full Bananza. Turn on sync and your boards stay up to date on all your computers through your own Google Drive, encrypted on your computer first with a passphrase only you know.

What happens if I stop paying?

Nothing is deleted. Full Bananza features switch off, and everything you made stays. Lifetime never renews.
